Creating your personalised necklaces in the Irish language

As we look back on a crazy and challenging year, one of the lovely trends that emerged in our workshop was the request to have your personalised necklaces stamped in the Irish language. We have always offered the addition of fadas to your initial necklaces and name necklaces to spell Irish names. Last year however, we saw lots and lots of you choosing to have special messages and phrases stamped in Irish to create a customised necklace with added meaning and an Irish spin.

We are currently looking for a trainee jewellery maker/workshop assistant to join our small team, in our workshop in Rush, North Co Dublin. The position is on a part-time basis and we are looking for an energetic person who is willing to assist with a variety of tasks in a busy jewellery workshop environment. The ideal person will have excellent attention to detail, a very strong interest in jewellery making and can work well on their own initiative.

What is argentium silver and why have we introduced it ?

We have recently introduced argentium (935) silver into our workshop to make some of our initial necklaces and personalised necklaces in silver. Here is some information on argentium and why we have started using it in our jewellery collection. What is argentium silver ? Argentium silver is an 'alloy' or mixture of metals which has a high content of pure silver mixed with a small amount of germanium. This makes it a very fine form of silver and gives it some very beneficial qualities in the making of silver jewellery.

And round about the middle to end of January you may be re-assessing your New Year's resolutions and feeling that they have been a little over ambitious now that you haven't managed a daily gym session or to cook dinner from scratch every day since the New Year.

Christmas Open Studio Saturdays

We really hope you can join us for 'Open Studio Saturdays' in the run up to Christmas this year. We will run the Open Studio for four Saturdays where there will be lots of Christmas treats and refreshments, a Christmas playlist, you can meet the makers and have a touch, feel and try on of the jewellery. The idea is that this will be a completely relaxed way to tick off some Christmas gifts without the stress of Christmas crowds and everything available is made right here in our North Dublin studio, by our small team of makers. It is the perfect chance to find the perfect chain length, get a custom made bracelet or pair of earrings and we will be giving a 10% discount on all orders on Open Studio days aswell as offering free luxury gift-wrap to make Christmas gifting a doddle !
